Ants are very resilliant and can survive just about anywhere. In this Auburn, CA home the ants made a nest in a box and were living in the styrofoam. The black that you see in this picture are the ants. The white that you can see are the eggs and larvae. We have also seen ants nest in computers, printers, and other types of electronics.
