It sounds like it could be a B horror movie, and for these customers in Auburn, CA it was. Yellow Jackets (also known as meat bees) can bite and sting and are very aggressive. They can be a big problem if they have located their nest outside (we’ve all had the experience of fighting away bees during a BBQ or outdoor party), let alone right into your home!

To help prevent this from happening to you, follow these tips on putting up traps in the spring: How to Install Yellow Jacket Traps. As mentioned in that blog post, installing traps in the early spring will help you get the queens before they make their nest. If you have a nest in your house like this Auburn customer did then please give us a call immediately. As mentioned in the video, the nest will only get bigger.

As you can notice in the video, not only are yellow jackets very aggressive, they can also cause quite a bit of damage. Notice the hole that they chewed through the drywall and the insulation that they destroyed.

The video may cut off a little early in the video because the memory card was full. A larger memory card has since been bought.
